Rotary Claw Vacuum Pumps Reduce Energy Consumption

December 1, 2010

Busch Mink series rotary claw vacuum pumps can reduce energy consumption by 25-percent or more, often qualifying for custom energy rebates through local utility companies, according to the manufacturer. With their unique non-contacting, rotary claw design, no energy is wasted from internal friction so brake horsepower is lower compared to conventional pump technologies. Additionally, when matched with PLC-based variable speed controls, energy efficiency is further enhanced as the pumps only run at the speed required to match the demand.
