Self-cleaning energy-efficient conveyor with tubular design

October 27, 2009
The tubular drag conveyor marries chain and disc technologies to gently move products without the use of air. The conveyor ensures the transport of particle blends without the risk of segregation or breakage, thereby making it an optimal solution for hundreds of products including ground coffee, dried foods, material chips, activated carbon and more. Various sizes (4-inch, 5-inch, 6-inch) meet nearly all capacity requirements and the flexible design is capable of making directional changes, in multiple planes, and is constructed to meet the standards required in sanitary environments. Other advantages include: sealed tube; self-cleaning; and conveying distances up to 300 feet. The flexible design provides multiple inlets and discharge points possible, and the uses four times less energy usage – compared to pneumatic conveying systems, according to the manufacturer.
