Small lab machine added for limestone grinding

November 4, 2009
The lab machine is the smallest mixer in the manufacturer’s line built for its limestone and mineral grinding line. The mixer is appropriate for research, scale-up studies and small-scale production. Primary applications are for wet grinding limestone for flue gas desulphurization in power plants and for mineral grinding. The lab mixer will process in the range of 200-500 pounds of limestone per hour. The mill is equipped with a variable frequency drive (VFD) and a 15 horsepower inverter duty motor. The unit uses 2.5 gallons of grinding media and are top-fed with the product (approximately 6mm in size) and water entering through the top of the mill where they are propelled down into the media bed. Final product exits through the topside of the mill.
