US BioEnergy celebrates groundbreaking of ethanol plant

Business Wire reports that US BioEnergy Corporation, a leading ethanol producer in the United States, recently held a Groundbreaking Ceremony for its 100 million gallon per year ethanol facility in Janesville, Minnesota. Community members and several dignitaries were expected to attend, including US BioEnergy CEO Gordon Ommen, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, Fagen Inc. CEO Ron Fagen, Janesville Mayor Alvin Grams and Roger Moore, Vice President of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association. US BioEnergy Janesville is expected to have the capacity to produce approximately 100 million gallons of ethanol and 320,000 tons of distillers grains per year and expects to employ more than 40 people.
