Valves Feed Abrasive Material Efficiently

The double dump valves work with low-pressure air or gravity feed systems where standard rotary valves are prone to failure. The valves have spring loaded gate arms, and the gates open and close alternately, preventing air seepage and maintaining proper pressure, according to the manufacturer. The standard cam-operated gate mechanism is actuated with an electric motor. In comparison, pneumatic versions of competitive double-dump gate valves require large volumes of shop air for operation. Typical applications for the double-dump valve are dry material handling and bulk material handling in wood, scrap metal, plastics, cement, and various manufacturing industries. Available in three standard sizes of 8-, 10-, and 12-inch inlet diameters, they can handle flow rates from 85cu-ft/hr up to 320cu-ft/hr, and withstand temperatures up to 750 degrees F. All gate valves are made with heavy-duty carbon steel, gear reducers, cam mechanisms, and easy-access cleanout doors that don’t require tools. Optional features include stainless steel construction, an explosion proof motor, pneumatic air cylinders, and diaphragm actuators. High temperature and high-pressure options are also available.
