Vibrating sensor provides cost-effective warning system
February 20, 2003
Vibration monitoring system is designed and calibrated specifically for company''s separators. The sensor signals that there has been a change in vibration amplitude due to a myriad of processing conditions, so technicians can take corrective action before serious production problems occur. The custom-calibrated sensor measures forces between 0 to 5G''s and generates a proportionate signal between 4 and 20mA to trigger a monitoring device. The sensor detects vibration changes that might indicate separator motor failure, a broken or blinded screen, a change in feed rate, erratic product discharge, broken springs, loose mounting structure, a loose clamp band or potential other problems.
