Vibration monitoring of rotating equipment in hazardous areas made simple

July 10, 2006
Emerson Process Management now makes vibration monitoring of rotating equipment possible in hazardous areas of chemical and petrochemical process plants and refineries. Two new safety-rated versions of the CSI 2130 Machinery Health™ Analyzer are available for evaluating the condition of a broad range of equipment types in hazardous work areas. Both versions comply with the rigorous international safety standards established by Factory Mutual (FM), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and the European (ATEX) standard, extending the use of industry’s best tool for fast, accurate assessment of the condition of rotating machinery to the most sensitive plant environments. The safety-certified versions of the CSI 2130 retain all functions of the machinery health analyzers commonly operating in other areas. They are capable of gathering large amounts of data and reducing it into accurate diagnostics and actionable information. The collected data is uploaded for analysis and trending to the AMS™ Suite: Machinery Health™ Manager software, a component of Emerson’s PlantWeb® digital plant architecture.
