Sara Lee sauces bought by Richelieu Foods

Tuesday the Associated Press announced that Richelieu Foods Inc. has bought the Sara Lee foodservice sauce and dressings business. The sauce and dressings business makes salad dressing, mayonnaise and barbecue sauce for restaurant and foodservice customers. The deal includes a plant in Elk Grove Village, Ill., which will allow Richelieu to expand its production. Sara Lee''s retail sauce and dressing business will not be affected. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction closed Aug. 30.
