Shaft Grounding Technology Offers Long-Lasting Protection

The second generation Current Diverter Ring™ (CDR®) offers long-lasting protection from stray shaft currents and increased robustness. CDR uses proprietary conductive filaments to protect bearings from stray shaft currents generated by variable frequency drives (VFD’s). The CDR provides a low impedance path to ground, safely drawing the currents away from the bearings and preventing premature bearing failure. The new single piece design results in a more durable product – delivering long-lasting protection for motor bearings and the bearings of coupled equipment.
