A
cloud-based software platform is said to provide a powerful foundation for
sustainable operations, acting as a comprehensive framework within a single
integrated platform, unlike products historically available. In announcing the
availability of its new software platform, OSSuite, vendor Operational
Sustainability says that it reflects decades of feedback from key industry user
groups.
This
operational risk management platform cuts across all major operational
functions including EH&S, Maintenance, Reliability, Capital Projects, Automation,
Risk, Quality, Process Safety, Operations and Engineering. OSSuite™ aggregates
data across all operational functions so you can avoid the traditional trap of
buying “isolated tools” at the departmental level.
The
provider says the platform is based on ideas regarding operational risk
management. ORM, which is the next generation of operational excellence that
helps companies move from a reactive to a predictive state. While Enterprise
Risk Management (ERM) addresses a broader set of organizational risk and
compliance, operational risk management specifically targets risks surrounding
operations.
By
incorporating all of their best practices into risk analytics, the system helps
userswork toward, achieve and maintain improved states of safety, reliability,
governance and operational efficiency, the company says. From the board room to
the shop floor, the solution drives performance while aligning goals.
“With OS, the biggest benefit is that users
are equipped to anticipate and avoid the full range of problems using our
advanced predictive analytics and comparative benchmarks," states David
Drerup, President and CEO.
