Sasol announced it would sell five fertilizer blending plants to comply with a deal struck with the competition authority to help cut fertilizer prices in South Africa, reports Reuters. South Africa''s Competition Commission agreed for Sasol to divest five of its fertilizer blending facilities and to stop all importation of ammonia other than for use in South Africa to help reduce prices, within 25 months. Sasol said it would dispose of its Bellville, Durban, Kimberley, Potchefstroom and Endicott fertilizer blending plants by August next year.
