Specialty chemical maker to expand operations in South Carolina

FORT MILL, S.C. — Specialty chemical maker Nation Ford Chemical will spend $5.5 million to expand its operations in Fort Mill, S.C., The Herald reported.

The expansion, which will create 16 new jobs, will allow the company to make a jet oil lubricant, as well as gain additional production capacity.

“In this competitive and challenging global economy, anytime a company allocates precious capital to a new venture, they are reconfirming their initial faith and commitment,” said York County Council Chairman Britt Blackwell.
