Oil prices rose recently as Hurricane Humberto disrupted refineries along the Gulf Coast, bizjournals.com reports. Several Port Arthur refineries, including Valero Energy Corp.''s 325,000 barrel-per-day facility and Motiva Enterprises LLC''s 285,000 barrel-per-day refinery, were shut down because of a power outage due to the storm, The Associated Press reports. Irving-based Exxon Mobil Corp. said the storm went by its Beaumont refinery, but the impact was minor, a spokeswoman said. The refinery produces 349,000 barrels of petroleum products a day. Exxon Mobil''s Baton Rouge, La., and Baytown, Texas, refineries were not impacted.
