KROHNE, Inc. offers a Tantalum version of its OPTIMASS 7300 straight tube Coriolis mass flowmeter. The first single straight tube meter available with Tantalum wetted-flange material construction measures highly aggressive or corrosive fluids and features a no-hassle installation and superior performance in density and mass flow. Tantalum is generally considered impervious to most fluids, making it ideal for the straight tube OPTIMASS 7300. Previously only available on more expensive dual bent tube sensor designs, the Tantalum OPTIMASS 7300’s design makes it both an affordable and ideal solution for the safe and reliable measurement of fluids that require glass lined piping or glass lined process vessels. Tantalum has similar chemical resistance as glass, and is typically used with chemicals such as hydrochloric, sulfuric, nitric and phosphoric acids, or bromine and chlorine.
