Texas drillers now required to disclose fracking chemicals

HOUSTON — Oil and gas drillers in Texas are now required to disclose the chemicals they use in hydraulic fracturing operations, Bloomberg reported.

Texas regulators adopted the rules Tuesday to enforce a law passed by the Legislature earlier this year.

Unlike other states, such as Colorado, Texas will not require companies to disclose chemical concentrations.
