SANTA CLARITA, Calif. — Two workers suffered severe burns in a flash fire that erupted at a chemical plant in Santa Clarita, Calif., Wednesday night, SCVNews.com reported.
The incident occurred at Bocchi Laboratories, a contractor that mixes chemicals for hair care product manufacturers such as Paul Mitchell Systems.
Capt. Mark Savage of the Los Angeles County Fire Department stated that the fire started as the employees were conducting a cleaning operation.
“Some cleaning products do have alcohol involved,” he said. “That might have been [the cause of the fire], but we''re still determining exactly what happened.”
