According to the Associated Press, if Little Chute''s Village Board passes a rezoning request from Kraft Foods Inc., the village''s largest employer plans to hire another 300 employees.
Village Administrator Charles Kell says the rezoning of land Kraft already owns would allow the company to increase the size of its pizza-production plant by about 25 percent. The board will act on that request May 21.
The plant, which currently employs about 700, produces pizzas under the brand names of Jack''s Pizzas, DiGiorno and Tombstone. If the request is granted, Kraft says it expects to hire the additional employees in the next three years.
