OWENSBORO, Ky. — Western Kentucky University’s (WKU) Owensboro campus has received a $50,000 grant to aid its Food Processing and Technology program, the College Heights Herald reported.
Provided by the Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the grant will be used to purchase a new fat analyzer and protein analyzer.
“The addition of state-of-the-art equipment is critical to the development of a food analysis laboratory,” said Gene Tice, director of WKU-Owensboro. “This will allow our students to conduct laboratory experiments and acquire hands-on experience to supplement lecture courses.”
