WAUKEGAN, Ill. — Yaskawa America Inc. announced that it manufactured its one millionth inverter in the U.S. this month, marking a significant milestone for the drives and motion control company, according to a press release.
“This is a major milestone for our company, as it represents our commitment to building our products in the United States,” said President and CEO Mike Knapek. “While we are certainly a global player, our manufacturing presence is heavily focused here.”
Even with the component shortage issue due to the Japan earthquake, the company was still able to deliver quickly to customers in need.
“We benefit greatly from the work ethic of our employees and the commitment they make to making quality products on time for our customers,” Knapek added.
