Shimadzu Scientific Instruments (SSI) is the American subsidiary of Shimadzu Corporation, headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. Founded in 1875, Shimadzu is a $3 billion multinational corporation with three major divisions: Medical Diagnostics, Aerospace/industrial, and Analytical Instruments. The Analytical Division is one of the world's largest manufacturers of analytical instrumentation and environmental monitoring equipment.

Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, SSI was established in 1975 as a distribution center providing analytical solutions to a wide range of laboratories and lab-services providers in the Americas. Key to the processing industry is our online TOC analyzer, the TOC-4200. Providing high-sensitivity, cost-effective measurement of a wide range of water samples, the TOC-4200 supports analyses from 5 mgC/L to 20,000 mgC/L full-scale. In addition, it can measure samples with TOC concentrations from 0 to 1mgC/L, and can be equipped with a variety of pretreatment units to best match a sample’s characteristics. It is the ideal solution for:

• Continuous monitoring of plant water/ boiler water

• Management of treatment plant influent and effluent

• Total pollutant load control regulation applications
