The Business Journal of Milwaukee reports Morningstar Foods LLC plans to lay off 57 employees at its Richland Center plant. The company began laying off workers on February 22. The layoffs are expected to become permanent as of April 23, according to a mass layoff notice filed Feb. 25 with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. The majority of jobs to be cut are hourly production positions. Morningstar Foods, a division of Dallas-based Dean Foods Co., produces cultured dairy products.
