A closer look at some of the newest products and technologies in the marketplace.

1| LOW TORQUE SENSOR

The TorqSense ORT 230/240 Low Torque

Sensor offers precise dynamic measurement of rotary and static torque from 10mNm to 100Nm for signal bandwidths up to 50kHz. The new TorqSense ORT 230/240 torque sensors feature all-new electronics with significant performance gains in resolution, frequency response, reduced sensor current consumption and faster digital data throughput. The absence of brush gear and fixed electronics allows high-speed operation with a continuous rating up to 30,000 rpm standard.Their

compact size makes them ideal for use in applications where there is little space for extra equipment.

2| MICROPILOT FWR30 RADAR LEVEL SENSOR

Endress+Hauser recently launched the Micropilot FWR30, its first cloud-connected radar, to provide full transparency in the storage and transport of liquids. As the world's first 80 GHz wireless IIoT sensor, it combines high-end technology and userfriendly digital services in one device. The instrument’s continuously recorded measurement data can be accessed at any time, from anywhere due to the device's cloud connection. The Micropilot FWR30 can be used for level measurement and inventory management of mobile and stationary plastic tanks. It is resistant to corrosion, abrasion, viscosity or toxicity, and can be used in a variety of industries.

3| SPL-200 LASER LEVEL SENSOR

Mount and power level sensors on silos without the complexity or the expense of wiring with the SPL-200 battery-powered laser. The SPL-200 measures solids in silos up to 98 feet tall in low- or no-dust environments. Powered by a replaceable Lithium battery with a battery life of 3-5 years, this single-point laser allows use of level sensors on silos or in remote locations where inventory monitoring has not been feasible. The SPL-200 can be programmed to take interval readings from once an hour to once a day.

4| RECTANGULAR PHOTOELECTRIC SENSORS

Wenglor rectangular 50 x 50 x 20 mm photoelectric sensors include diffuse with background suppression, retroreflective, retroreflective for transparent objects, and through-beam models. Sensing ranges vary from 1,200 mm for background suppression sensors to 20 m for through beam models. With the standard 50 mm x 50 mm housings, these rectangular photo sensors provide long range and small spot diameter, simple potentiometer sensitivity adjustment, visible red-light emission for easy targeting set-up, and are compatible with the IO-Link open-standard protocol.
