Fox_FT3_-Approvals_Cal-VaZero CAL-CHECK™ is a companion test to the CAL-V™ Calibration Validation feature available on the Fox Model FT3 Thermal Mass Flow Meter & Temperature Transmitter. Where CAL-V tests the functionality of the sensor and its associated signal processing circuitry, Zero CALCHECK checks for build-up on the sensor that could affect calibration; further validates the zero stability of the meter; and checks thermal conductivity (heat transfer) repeatability of the sensor. Unlike CAL-V, which may be performed in the pipe and at process conditions, Zero CAL-CHECK must be performed at zero flow to ensure a valid test result. Depending upon the configuration — in situ or out of pipe — zero flow will either be compared to a customer- established field baseline or a factory baseline.

The FT2A is the newly improved version of the widely popular Model FT2 flowmeter. Fox has revolutionized the flowmeter's design in order to offer its customers an even more robust flowmeter for harsh industrial environments. And to expand to the Building Automation industry, Fox has broadened the communications options available on the FT2A to include BACnet MS/TP.

Among its advanced features are:

• BACnet MS/TP, RS485 Modbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, or Ethernet Modbus TCP – Optional Communication Protocols
• Standard USB Port – Gain Direct Meter-to-PC Connections
• FT2A View™ – Improved software for configuring, graphing and logging data

FT2A View™ allows easy adjustments to the meter configuration, evaluation of alarm conditions, collection of process data and measurement viewing from your PC or control station.

A USB connection port comes standard on the new Model FT2A which allows quick and easy access with a laptop. Communications options available are BACnet MS/TP, RS485 Modbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet or Ethernet Modbus TCP.

Other FT2A features are dual 4 to 20mA outputs (one for flow and the second selectable for flow or temperature) and pulse output (pulses per unit/units per pulse).
