Thermoplastic Butterfly Valve

GF Piping Systems (GF) has added the 565 Butterfly Valve to its extensive valve product offerings. The new butterfly valve is strong yet lightweight, consisting of high-performance plastic components that include PVDF disc with fiber reinforced polyamide housing and EPDM or FKM seals, making it ideally suitable for pressures up to 232 psi (16 bar) and temperatures ranging from 14°F to 176°F. Available in sizes from NPS 2 through 12 (DN50-300), the 565 Valve is 60% lighter than a comparable metal valve, allowing a single technician to safely and easily handle it during installation. The lightweight material also minimizes the energy consumed for transportation and installation. After installation, the advantages of the reduced static weight may also be significant in life sciences and water treatment skids. The new valve comes in the same installation length as metal valves (ISO 5752 Row 20, API 609 Table 2) so that retrofitting requires no additional work on the pipes or new designs. This feature reduces time in planning and installation. The new release from GF Piping Systems is made from superior thermoplastics and built to last with a longer lifespan in water applications and high durability makes it almost maintenance-free.
