Camfil APC launches OmniPleat filter media for longer-lasting dust collector filters

Camfil Air Pollution Control has introduced its proprietary OmniPleat filter media, a technology developed to extend the service life of dust collector filters while improving overall system efficiency.

According to the company, OmniPleat media delivers up to 30% longer filter life compared to conventional pleated designs. The media is available in replacement cartridges for all major dust collector brands and comes in multiple formulations, including flame retardant, carbon-impregnated, synthetic, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) options.

OmniPleat technology incorporates synthetic, custom-shaped glue beads applied to both sides of the media pack. These beads maintain even pleat spacing, allowing maximum exposure to the airstream. The result is improved dust capture, more effective pulse cleaning, and fewer filter changeouts.

Filters using the media also operate with a lower pressure drop, enabling fan motors to run more efficiently and reducing compressed-air consumption during cleaning cycles. Camfil states that these performance improvements lower energy costs and total cost of ownership for operators.
