• Colin Barbeau: Jack will present the key aspects that need to be evaluated to repurpose a pneumatic conveyor, and then after that I will be doing a live demonstration where we will actually crunch some numbers with the audience. We're going to do a real example. We're going to go through the process and see how we can make changes to a system for a new purpose. And I will be using a modern calculation tool to show everybody that this is within reach of anybody that wants to tackle this type of endeavor.
   
• Vahid Ebadat: In both sessions I start by giving an introduction to the subject of dust explosions, primarily how they can arise in industrial settings. I'll then go on to talk about the requirements of NFPA 660 and that it is really the owner/operator of a facility’s responsibility to understand the explosibility of the materials they handle. And if, indeed, any of the materials they handle are exposable, then they need to do a dust hazard analysis.
