Floyd Phalen, Hapman Engineering Manager, announced the expansion of Hapman’s custom equipment and turn-key systems design capabilities with the hire of an additional design engineer. Throughout 2012, Hapman increased engineering capacity by 30% to meet the changing demands of customers.

“I am pleased to announce the addition of Chris Chubb as Hapman’s newest engineering team member,” said Phalen. “We are expanding our team to continue to meet the growing needs of our manufacturing partners. We serve the bulk material handling industries such as; chemical, plastics, minerals, food, nutraceutical, and building materials. These industries have a growing need for efficient material handling systems that optimize their manufacturing processes. Our customers are under increasing pressure to meet tighter tolerances in their operations and shorter lead times in their project schedules. If we are to remain a valuable partner and industry leader, we have to change and grow to meet these needs and exceed expectations.”

Mr. Chubb worked in the formed metal industry for more than 20 years prior to joining the Hapman engineering department. Chris’ experience in manufacturing, Autocad and Solidworks design, and material flow characteristics will be another asset to Hapman customers. Phalen noted,  “We have a broad and multi-disciplined engineering department, allowing us to design custom equipment and systems including electrical and controls. We are somewhat unique in this way, not all bulk material handling equipment manufacturers offer this level of design assistance.”

Hapman’s business focus and customer support is summarized by Vice President Greg Patterson, “We communicate and work with our customers on a very detailed level, understanding their challenges and goals and applying our application expertise and 60 years of experience to their projects. Our expansion of people has come from all key areas of our company. We are committed to intense customer service at the highest knowledge-base, we see our people as our most valuable asset and our customers as our most important allies.”
