Pulva introduces largest impact pulverizer in Pulva-Sizer product line
Pulva Corp. has introduced the Pulva-Sizer Model F, the largest hammer mill in the company's line of impact pulverizers, designed for high-volume, high-throughput size reduction applications.
The Pulva-Sizer Model F is equipped with a 300-horsepower drive motor, an oversized infeed hopper, multiple hammer configuration options, and an optional air-assisted discharge system. Housed in reinforced steel, the unit is designed to operate in continuous production environments while processing a broad range of bulk materials.
According to Pulva Corp., the hammer mill can grind dry, wet, fibrous, moderately abrasive, and other materials to a specified particle size distribution while maintaining target throughput rates. The company said the Model F delivers the same level of particle size control available in its smaller Pulva-Sizer systems.
The pulverizer is suitable for processing materials including limestone, pigments, grains, spices, sugar, specialty chemicals, and recyclable products. It is also designed to simplify maintenance through a removable cover, liner, and screen assembly that provide access for inspection, wear part replacement, and servicing.
The Pulva-Sizer Model F is the largest of six standard Pulva-Sizer impact pulverizers. Manufacturers can customize the system with options such as quad feed screws, magnetic separators, stainless steel construction, and other auxiliary equipment.
Pulva Corp. said customers can evaluate the technology through material testing conducted on full-size operating machines at the company's on-site testing laboratory.
