Ohio Transmission Corp. acquires Arizona motor repair provider

Ohio Transmission Corporation, an industrial equipment service provider and distributor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, recently acquired Laron Inc., a service provider of mechanical and electric motor repair and engineering in the southwestern United States.

Laron’s headquarters in Kingman, Arizona, houses more than 140,000 square feet of shop space, with large-scale machining, fabrication and repair capabilities. Laron also has repair facilities in Phoenix, Arizona, and Salt Lake City, Utah, and it has a sales and field service office in Tucson, Arizona.

Since its founding, Laron has provided industrial support services, including heavy industrial automation, machining, motor repair, fabrication, field services, mechanical repair, predictive maintenance, storage and custom solutions. Its services support customers in the mining, manufacturing, power generation, gas transmission and construction industries.  

Laron will continue to operate under the Laron brand and with current local management.

With this acquisition, Ohio Transmission Corporation now has 50 locations throughout the Southwest, South, Southeast, Midwest and Northeast regions, along with 25 service shops. The addition of Laron associates expands OTC’s existing workforce to more than 1,200 employees.

Seeq to expand international and cloud-based businesses

Seeq Corporation, a leader in manufacturing and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) advanced analytics software, recently secured a $24 million expansion of its Series B funding. This expansion round is led by Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures (SAEV), the corporate venture subsidiary of the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals company, Saudi Aramco. It includes renewed participation by Altira Group, Chevron Technology Ventures and Second Avenue Partners.

Seeq enables engineers and scientists in process manufacturing organizations to rapidly analyze, predict, collaborate and share insights to improve production outcomes. Customers include companies in the oil and gas, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy, mining, food and beverage and other process industries. The funding will accelerate Seeq’s expansion of development, sales and marketing resources, and will also increase its presence in international markets.

Founded in 2013, Seeq publishes software applications for manufacturing organizations to rapidly find and share data insights. Oil and gas, pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, utility, renewable energy and numerous other vertical industries rely on Seeq to improve production outcomes, including yield, margins, quality and safety. Headquartered in Seattle, Seeq is a privately held virtual company with employees across the United States and sales representation in Asia, Canada, Europe and South America.

Bradley Pulverizer acquired by Lancaster Products owner

Lancaster Products & Kercher Enterprises’ owner Curt Snyder recently acquired the assets of Bradley Pulverizer, which specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of pulverizing systems for fine and semi-fine grinding of hard, friable and abrasive materials for various applications throughout the world.

Bradley Pulverizers’ U.S. and UK divisions will continue to operate normally while the international sales force will remain independent but working in collaboration to offer the Lancaster Products line of industrial equipment.

Snyder will serve as president and CEO of both Bradley Pulverizer Enterprises Inc. and Lancaster Products & Kercher Enterprises.  David Fronheiser, the former Bradley Pulverizer Company president, will continue in an advisory capacity.

Lancaster Products is a solutions company dedicated to improving material mixing and processing. The company designs and builds mixing, pelletizing and crushing solutions for a wide variety of industries and materials.

Baumer UK partners with MGA Controls

Sensors and instrumentation specialist Baumer recently appointed control and instrumentation specialist MGA Controls as a process solutions partner in the UK. MGA Controls has been supplying high quality products, solutions and services to industry since 1986.

Bosch Technology is now Syntegon Technology

Bosch Packaging Technology recently presented itself as Syntegon Technology, an independent enterprise, at the company headquarters in Waiblingen, Germany.
