FCI announces director of sales
Fluid Components International (FCI), a global leader in thermal flow and level instrumentation, recently appointed Adam Schleyhahn as the company’s new director of sales.
Schleyhahn will report to Randy Brown, who, after 15-plus years as FCI’s marketing manager and director of corporate marketing, steps into the position of executive director of marketing and industrial sales & service. Schleyhahn steps in to lead the FCI sales organization after the retirement of Glen Fishman, who completed a 38-year career at FCI as the leader of the sales team.
Prior to joining FCI, Schleyhahn was a member of the corporate staff at Swagelok’s headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. He was previously the general manager of sales for San Diego Fluid Systems Technologies, representing Swagelok products. Schleyhahn is a graduate of Pomona College and has an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
FCI designs, manufactures and sells a broad line of thermal mass flow meters for air and gas flow measurement.
Key Technology names sales manager for EMEIA
Key Technology, a member of the Duravant family of operating companies, announces the promotion of Jasper Schoemaker to sales manager for the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) Region.
Schoemaker is responsible for leading the team that brings Key’s digital sorters, conveying solutions and other process automation systems to food processors in the EMEIA region. Schoemaker has been with Key for 21 years, holding various positions with increasing responsibilities. He started in Parts Sales and quickly advanced to Sales Engineering, where he helped custom-engineer Key’s processing equipment. Immediately prior to today’s promotion, he was area sales manager for Belgium and a major account manager for select global customers.
Key Technology is a global leader in the design and manufacture of automation systems including digital sorters, conveyors and other processing equipment.
Graham Packaging hires director of sustainability and regulatory affairs
Graham Packaging, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of innovative and sustainable plastic packaging solutions, recently hired Balaji Jayaseelan to serve as director of sustainability and regulatory affairs.
In his role, Jayaseelan will drive company-wide sustainability initiatives for plant operations, design, engineering, procurement, finance and marketing.
Prior to joining Graham Packaging, Jayaseelan was senior manager of sustainability for Newell Brands where he had global responsibility for developing, managing and executing sustainability and EHS strategy across global business units. He also served as an adviser for the Kids STEAM Academy where he promoted and taught early education STEAM learning through the application of arts, LEGOs and robotics to influence creativity, analytical, logical and public speaking skills
ORIC Pharmaceuticals appoints new member to board of directors
ORIC Pharmaceuticals Inc., a clinical-stage oncology company focused on developing treatments that address mechanisms of therapeutic resistance, recently appointed Mardi C. Dier to its board of directors. Dier currently serves as executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief business officer of Portola Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Dier has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer since November 2013, and was also appointed chief business officer in October 2018. Dier is responsible for leading the corporate finance, accounting, information technology, global supply chain, business development, investor relations and corporate communications functions.
Previously, she served as vice president of investor relations at Chiron Corporation from 2003 until its acquisition by Novartis Pharmaceuticals in 2006. Prior to joining Chiron, she worked as an investment banker at Prudential Securities, where she focused on client development, equity underwriting and mergers and acquisitions for biotechnology and other life sciences companies. Prior to that, she was in the audit department of KPMG Peat Marwick. She holds a bachelor’s of science in biology from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
