QbCon 1 continuous wet granulator and dryer for research and development provides improved product quality while increasing flexibility and operator safety. System also reduces costs by using fewer resources and shortens development cycles by process analytics. Unlike competing systems, the QbCon 1 enables a permanent, truly continuous process without the formation of sub-batches and blocked filters. System meets the quality demands of solid oral pharmaceutical manufacture, with very short dryer residence times of granules of different sizes and narrow residence time distributions. System has a small footprint and allows for throughputs from 0.5 to 2.5 kg/h. Additional system benefits include fully automatic filter cleaning during the drying process; gentle, uniform drying and conveying of the granules; quick and easy disassembly and reassembly; and complete WIP cleaning.
