Kansas State University Olathe opens 2026 pneumatic conveying course registration
Kansas State University Olathe has opened registration for its 2026 pneumatic conveying and advanced manufacturing course lineup, offering hands-on training for engineers, operators, and manufacturing professionals responsible for material handling systems.
The program includes two core pneumatic conveying courses designed to address common performance and reliability challenges seen across industrial operations. The Basics of Pneumatic Conveying course will be offered April 7–8, 2026, providing foundational instruction for professionals new to the technology or seeking to strengthen their understanding of system operation and material flow. An Advanced Pneumatic Conveying course is scheduled for Dec. 8–10, 2026, and builds on fundamental concepts with deeper coverage of pipeline design, material degradation, attrition control, and advanced control strategies.
According to Kansas State University Olathe, many manufacturers experience inefficiencies, downtime, and troubleshooting difficulties because pneumatic conveying systems are often implemented without formal technical training. The courses are structured to help teams improve system performance through applied instruction focused on real-world operating conditions.
In addition to pneumatic conveying, the 2026 schedule includes courses in Lean Six Sigma, automation and process controls, reliable flow from hoppers, and dust collection system design. Kansas State University Olathe also offers customized training programs tailored to individual organizations.
The courses are part of the university’s Advanced Manufacturing program, which focuses on workforce development and practical education aligned with the needs of modern manufacturing operations.
