METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection Group has introduced the next generation of its demonstration bus, bringing product inspection technologies directly to food and pharmaceutical facilities across the United States and Canada. The mobile facility allows manufacturers to see, test, and evaluate inspection systems on-site using their own products, reducing the time and expense associated with travel.

The redesigned 54-foot demo bus features increased ceiling height and an expandable side section, creating a more open environment for live demonstrations and technical discussions. According to METTLER TOLEDO, the updated interior is intended to support hands-on evaluation by production, quality, and engineering teams.

The demo bus carries a refreshed lineup of inspection systems from METTLER TOLEDO’s current portfolio. Among them are combination systems that integrate multiple inspection functions into a single unit, including the CV35 combination checkweigher and vision system and the CM33 combination checkweigher and metal detector. These systems are designed to support different applications, packaging formats, and space requirements.

Also on display is the X52 x-ray inspection system, which offers advanced detection capabilities at a cost-focused price point. Its software allows operators to switch between single-energy, dual-energy, or combined modes to optimize inspection performance for various products.

The mobile facility includes several metal detection solutions, such as the Profile Advantage GC metal detector for challenging applications, the M33R metal detector for high-sensitivity needs, the Profile Advantage pipeline metal detector for liquids and slurries, and a T Series throat metal detector with an automatic test system for vertical packaging lines.

For pharmaceutical operations, the demo bus features the Tablex-PRO metal detector, designed for ultra-high sensitivity inspection of bulk tablets and capsules, with failsafe reject mechanisms and resistance to external interference. The lineup also includes the V31 vision system, which inspects products for color and shape consistency and verifies label presence, readability, and package closures.

All systems on the demo bus are connected to METTLER TOLEDO’s ProdX data management software, enabling equipment monitoring and streamlined data collection to support food safety, production efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
