HydroGraph Clean Power Inc., a producer of graphene using an “explosion synthesis” process that provides highly pure and uniform graphene with low energy input, has announced the opening of its new U.S. headquarters in Austin, Texas. The facility consolidates executive and operational functions while expanding the company’s research, development, and production capabilities.

According to HydroGraph, the Austin site will serve as a central hub for its growth strategy, including the operation of two on-site Hyperion Reactors and oversight of a planned large-scale production facility. That future facility is expected to support up to 350 tons per year of graphene production capacity.

The company is in the process of transferring key equipment and resources from its Manhattan, Kansas, location to Austin. This includes scientific instrumentation, a detonation lab, and Hyperion Reactor units. HydroGraph reported that the detonation lab and one qualified Hyperion unit have already been installed at the new site.

A second phase of construction is planned to integrate additional assets and support expanded operations, including new acetylene storage infrastructure for the reactor systems.

HydroGraph is also increasing hiring efforts to support its expansion. Recent additions include a plant manager for the planned large-scale facility, with additional roles open across business development, engineering, quality, and laboratory functions. The company expects to continue adding positions throughout 2026.

The Austin headquarters will also serve as a coordination point for HydroGraph’s manufacturing, commercial, and government initiatives. The company noted increasing interest in graphene as a critical material, particularly in relation to developing a secure domestic supply chain.

HydroGraph said further details on its planned large-scale production facility will be announced at a later date. The company also expects to host an open house event at the Austin site in the third quarter of 2026.
