Eriez to launch X8-SF metal detector at interpack 2026
Eriez will launch its X8-SF metal detector at interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, introducing a new system designed to improve inspection consistency for food processors.
The X8-SF expands the company’s PrecisionGuard X8 inspection line and will be previewed at Hall 12 / C05, where attendees can observe live demonstrations of the system in operation. According to Eriez, the new detector is engineered to address variability in inspection conditions across different products, a common challenge in modern food processing environments.
The system builds on the existing X8 platform, which includes a hygienic design, an intuitive user interface, and integrated data capture capabilities to support traceability and regulatory compliance. The X8-SF is designed to help manufacturers maintain product quality while minimizing disruption to production processes.
“Different products can create very different inspection conditions, which is where performance consistency becomes critical,” said Emmett Keim, Global Product Manager – Inspection Systems at Eriez. “At interpack, we’re demonstrating how the X8-SF manages that variability in real time.”
In addition to the X8-SF preview, Eriez will present a range of inspection and material handling technologies, including X-ray inspection systems, magnetic separation equipment, and vibratory feeders. The company said these solutions are designed to help processors protect product quality, safeguard equipment, and improve production efficiency.
Eriez plans to release full product details for the X8-SF metal detector on May 7 during the event.
