BinMaster to discontinue 3DLevelScanner inventory monitoring sensors

3DLevelScanner users have approximately six months to purchase remaining high-temperature models before the product line is permanently discontinued.

BinMaster has announced the end of life of its 3DLevelScanner product line, with the sensors scheduled for permanent discontinuation. The company issued advance notice to help customers plan future bulk material inventory monitoring strategies.

According to BinMaster, approximately six months of inventory remain for high-temperature 3DLevelScanner models, including RL through MVL multi-scanner configurations. The company said these high-temperature models can also be used in standard-temperature applications up to 176°F (80°C) without affecting performance. No hazardous location models remain in stock.

BinMaster also expects replacement parts, including electronic cards and transducers, to remain available for approximately six additional months. Remote and on-site technical support for existing 3DLevelScanner installations will continue for the foreseeable future.

As customers transition from the discontinued product line, BinMaster is recommending several alternative inventory monitoring technologies. These include radar level sensors for storage bins, load cell weighing systems for weight-based inventory measurement, and BinCloud software for real-time inventory monitoring, reporting, and alerts across connected devices.

The company also confirmed it is developing a next-generation three-dimensional scanner but has not announced a release date. According to BinMaster, additional information will be shared as development progresses.

Customers with existing 3DLevelScanner installations or those planning replacement strategies are encouraged to contact their BinMaster sales representative for application guidance and product recommendations.
