HAMPTON, VA.  (March 10, 2022) — Teledyne Hastings Instruments, a worldwide leader of vacuum instrumentation and thermal mass flow meters and mass flow controllers, recently announced the completion of its suite of certified drivers for LabVIEW software.

Certified drivers are now available for Teledyne's entire line of Digital 300 Series mass flow meters and mass flow controllers, the HVG-2020A and HVG-2020B line of piezo and pirani vacuum gauges, the DAVC and DCVT line of thermocouple vacuum gauges, and both the THCD-101 and THCD-401 line of power supplies and controllers. The drivers are free and are posted on NI's Instrument Driver Network.

Teledyne Hastings' certified instrument drivers provide the interface between the core LabVIEW software and each of the aforementioned instruments. Instrument drivers simplify instrument control and reduce program development time by eliminating the need to learn the programming protocol for each instrument. Within the overall driver, there are individual functions that perform specific tasks; for example, configuring the device, reading from, writing to, and triggering the device or instrument.
