SPX FLOW has announced the release of an improved design for its Anhydro brand SmartDry spray dryer automation system that doubles a spray dryer’s capacity compared to the previous model. The new design integrates smarter optimization algorithms to increase a spray dryer’s capacity by up to 8% and provides accurate and precise process control in highly variable operating conditions. For the wide variety of applications that use spray dyers — including the dairy, food, beverage and chemical sectors — this “Plug-and-Produce” system utilizes automation to provide enhanced efficiency, data and compatibility with reduced costs. 

Benefits of the updated system include weather-based capacity adjustments, real-time data parameter modifications, easy integration into existing setups. The system is suitable for medium and large-scale spray dryers with frequent product runs and various automation needs.
