Emerson has unveiled its latest PACSystems industrial personal computers, the IPC 6010, IPC 7010, and IPC 8010, designed to support AI-enabled automation, machine learning, and advanced analytics. The new models expand Emerson’s high-performance industrial PC lineup with processors specifically built for predictive maintenance, process optimization, quality inspection, decision support, and supply chain management.

The PACSystems IPCs incorporate 13th generation Intel Core industrial-rated processors with up to 64 GB of soldered ECC memory, providing robust resistance against shock and vibration. Their compact, fan-less design allows operation in temperatures up to 70 degrees Celsius, with optional fans available for high-temperature applications. Emerson’s patented vibration and thermal technologies further enhance reliability and extend deployment life.

Storage options include solid-state drives up to 4 terabytes, while connectivity is supported through multiple gigabit Ethernet interfaces and up to four PCIe expansion slots. These configurations enable demanding computing tasks such as vision systems, advanced analytics, data processing, and visualization.

The IPCs come with pre-installed, pre-licensed operating systems, including Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021, PACEdge, and Linux, and software options such as PACEdge, Movicon Connext, and Movicon WebHMI. Users can also install custom operating systems or software. Built-in Trusted Platform Module crypto-processors and Secure Boot software protect data and operations.

“These innovative next generation IPCs are a key part of the critical hardware backbone supporting Emerson’s Boundless Automation vision,” said Harish Shinde, vice president and general manager of Emerson’s discrete automation business. “PACSystems IPCs are an ideal platform for developers seeking to future-proof industrial systems and achieve continuous uptime even in extreme environments as they create IoT, AI, and other advanced applications.”

More information on Emerson’s PACSystems IPCs, including the IPC 6010, 7010, and 8010, is available at Emerson IPC catalog.
