Emerson 2405 Monitoring Hub

Emerson has introduced the Rosemount 2405 Monitoring Hub, a device designed to streamline the monitoring and management of multiple storage tanks. The hub integrates the functionality of a display, communication unit, and data concentrator into a single device, simplifying system architecture and reducing costs for organizations seeking automated tank monitoring solutions.

The Rosemount 2405 connects up to eight HART-enabled level, pressure, or temperature transmitters, collecting and visualizing measurement data for centralized monitoring and inventory control. Digital HART multidrop connectivity allows multiple instruments to share a single twisted-pair cable, minimizing wiring complexity and infrastructure costs.

Aligned with Emerson’s Boundless Automation vision, the hub integrates with Rosemount TankMaster and TankMaster Mobile inventory management platforms and supports connectivity with third-party host systems. Operators can access inventory data locally or via a web browser, while real-time transmission of device diagnostics and status information supports proactive maintenance.

The device features an intuitive display and step-by-step guidance, enabling faster configuration of multiple connected instruments and reducing training requirements. Its user-friendly interface also simplifies troubleshooting, improving uptime and lowering operational costs.

Mikael Inglund, director of product management at Emerson’s measurement business, stated, “Easy-to-deploy automated tank monitoring, enabled by the Rosemount 2405, allows operators to quickly view, interpret, and act upon critical information. This supports improved decision-making and leads to more efficient inventory management and reduced costs.”
