National Pump Company expands vertical turbine pump portfolio with H28 series
National Pump Company has introduced the H28MC and H28LC vertical turbine pumps, expanding its hydraulics portfolio with new high-capacity models designed for industrial, municipal, and petroleum applications.
The H28 series fills the gap between the company's H24 and H30 pump models while providing additional hydraulic options for customers with demanding flow and head requirements. According to National Pump Company, both models are available for future orders, with pump bowls and impellers already in stock and ready for assembly.
The H28MC reaches a best efficiency point at 1,180 rpm, delivering 14,750 gallons per minute at 143 feet per stage with 87% efficiency. The H28LC delivers 13,250 gallons per minute at 131 feet per stage, also achieving 87% efficiency. The pumps are designed for applications requiring up to 2,000 horsepower, a maximum head of 1,500 feet, and configurations of up to seven stages.
According to National Pump Company, the H28 models were developed using computational fluid dynamics flow simulation and finite element analysis to improve hydraulic efficiency while optimizing strength and weight. The pumps are capable of delivering up to 10,500 gallons per minute when driven by a 500-horsepower motor.
The company said the H28MC and H28LC were designed, engineered, manufactured, and performance tested at its NSF 61 and ISO 9001 certified facility in Glendale, Arizona.
National Pump Company said the H28 series is available in standard materials of construction and can also be customized to meet specific project requirements.
