Flexicon has launched the FlexEductor liquid mixing eductor system, expanding the company’s equipment portfolio into solid-liquid mixing and blending.

The system uses a centrifugal, twin-screw or rotary lobe pump to drive liquid through a patented nozzle positioned upstream of the solid material inlet. The resulting Venturi vacuum draws powder from an induction hopper into the mixing zone.

According to Flexicon, the process produces lump-free blending while reducing batch times.

The FlexEductor has no moving parts, which the company says can reduce mechanical failures and maintenance requirements. Its sanitary stainless-steel construction and clean-in-place capability support hygienic processing applications.

Flexicon also says the system’s design virtually eliminates clogging during operation.

The FlexEductor can receive solid material from several Flexicon material handling systems, including bulk bag dischargers, bag dump stations, flexible screw conveyors, pneumatic conveyors and loss-in-weight batching systems.

Available options include multiple system sizes, custom-engineered skid mounting, integrated batch or surge tanks, and a handheld wand inlet for direct material pickup from open-top containers.
