Fluke launches ii01 acoustic camera for compressed air leak detection
Fluke has launched the ii01 Acoustic Camera for Android, a mobile acoustic imaging device designed to help industrial maintenance teams detect compressed air leaks and inspect system air tightness.
The ii01 is the first acoustic imaging solution in Fluke’s iSee mobile imaging series. It is designed for applications across manufacturing, process industries, and facilities where technicians need to identify sound sources and potential sources of energy waste.
The device uses Fluke’s SoundMap acoustic imaging technology and high-precision microelectromechanical system sensors to visualize acoustic data through the Fluke iSee application. Its detection frequency range spans 2 kilohertz to 48 kilohertz.
A dedicated leak mode allows technicians to detect compressed air leaks using an optimized frequency band with a single key. The device also provides a real-time decibel reading at the target center point for additional diagnostic information.
The ii01 connects to Android smartphones and tablets through USB-C, enabling plug-and-play operation without complex configuration. Fluke says the approximately 50-gram device is designed for portability and use in industrial environments.
Technicians can capture images and video on their Android devices and analyze and share inspection results through the Fluke iSee application. The workflow is intended to simplify communication and reporting following inspections.
According to Fluke Chief Product Officer Vineet Thuvara, the ii01 is intended to help maintenance teams identify issues more quickly and support a shift toward proactive maintenance.
