Siemens unveils next-generation SINAMICS G Drives
(Siemens release) — Siemens is announcing the launch of its next-generation SINAMICS drives family. The new portfolio marks a strategic evolution from standalone drive products toward intelligent, connected motion technologies designed to help machine builders master growing complexity and cater to future demands.
The next-generation lineup includes the general-purpose SINAMICS G200, the compact SINAMICS G210C for targeted machine applications, the advanced SINAMICS G210X optimized for pumps, fans, and compressors, and the versatile SINAMICS G210 “all-round” drive for continuous motion tasks. All products share a common engineering framework, enabling greater standardization, simplified integration, and a consistent user experience across the entire plant. The G200 and G210 will be demonstrated in the Siemens booth S-4266 at PACK EXPO International 2026.
SINAMICS G200: Where easiness meets performance
Targeting standard industrial applications—from pumps, fans, and conveyors to processing machinery—the SINAMICS G200 expands the drives portfolio for industrial applications with a modern, general-purpose drive.
The new G200 supports easy and efficient implementation of typical applications – from selection and commissioning through to operation. Its compact design enables space-saving integration in control cabinets. The drive is also designed to help reduce energy consumption. It supports Profinet for reliable real-time communication and enables seamless integration in TIA Portal and Startdrive. This “one network” approach simplifies system design, reduces engineering effort and improves data transparency across the entire plant.
Integrated safety and cybersecurity functions, along with comprehensive certifications, ensure reliable and future-proof operation across a wide range of applications worldwide.
SINAMICS G210: The versatile all-round drive for continuous motion
For operations requiring continuous motion—spanning moving, positioning, processing, and compressing, the SINAMICS G210 offers unmatched flexibility. Combining motor openness, modular hardware and software, and flexible communication options, the G210 adapts easily to diverse machine concepts.
Like the broader next-generation family, the G210 brings end-to-end integration into the Siemens automation environment, ensuring consistent workflows from initial selection to daily operation while embedding certified safety and lifecycle cybersecurity.
