Schubert & Salzer adds electric and manual actuators to low-flow valves
Schubert & Salzer Control Systems has expanded its low-flow control valve portfolio with new variants for high-pressure applications, including options for electric and manual actuation and media temperatures up to 530 °C.
The expanded range includes the pneumatically actuated Type 7042 with an integrated positioner, the new electrically actuated Types 7242 and 7342, and the manually actuated Type 7045. The valves control or shut off liquid and gaseous media at very low flow rates.
All four valve types support nominal pressures up to PN320 and minimum Kvs values of 0.0027. Standard configurations cover nominal sizes DN 8 to DN 15 and media temperatures from –60 °C to +210 °C. Specialized versions accommodate temperatures up to +530 °C.
Connection options include threaded configurations compliant with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards, as well as standardized socket weld connections.
The valve bodies are machined from solid 1.4404 stainless steel. Replaceable trim made from hardened stainless steel or tungsten carbide provides wear resistance, while specialized high-pressure packing is designed to maintain tightness during frequent switching and in hydrogen applications.
The Type 7042 also features an integrated digital Type 8049 positioner. Available options include versions certified for potentially explosive environments under ATEX or FM requirements, as well as an input/output link (IO-Link) connection. The IO-Link version provides valve condition data that can support predictive maintenance planning and fault analysis.
