Siemens to supply 5 large gas turbines to Saudi Arabia

Siemens received an order for five F-class gas turbines for a combined heat and power (CHP) plant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The plant will supply about 400 MW of electricity and process steam to a new natural gas extraction plant in Fadhili, located 100 kilometers northwest of Dammam in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom. The additional 1,100 MW will be sufficient to supply power to 1.1 million Saudi households. All five turbines will be produced at the Siemens Dammam Energy Hub (SDEH), the first manufacturing facility for gas turbines in Saudi Arabia and the largest in the Middle East.

Veracity to develop next-generation network security for critical infrastructure

Veracity Industrial Networks, a developer of next-generation Operational Technology (OT) network cybersecurity for the industrial internet, is part of a three-company team tapped by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to develop a secure networking solution that reduces cyberattacks against U.S. industrial and utility networks.

The team, which includes engineers from Veracity, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Inc. and Sempra Renewables, will focus on developing technology to reduce cyberattacks aimed at energy delivery systems.

Hoover Ferguson Group named Troy L. Carson as its new chief financial officer. In this role, Carson will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company, including accounting, finance. strategic planning, property management, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships and partnership compliance, and private and institutional financing.

Carson joins Hoover Ferguson from Hercules Offshore, where he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer. He is based in Houston, Texas.

Wilo hires Mike Conti as regional sales manager

Wilo USA hired Mike Conti as its new regional sales manager of residential and commercial building services for the Southwest region. In this role, Conti is responsible for overseeing the sales operation within his region, which includes servicing the needs of customers, developing sales strategies and setting targets, and collecting customer feedback and market research.

Conti brings more than 28 years of experience to Wilo, having previously worked as an HVAC market manager, national accounts manager, and national sales manager in the industrial, HVAC and OEM industries.

Bacharach appoints new regional sales manager

Bacharach Inc. appointed Karl Roberts as regional sales manager overseeing the U.K., Ireland, and Northern Europe. Roberts brings a strong background in gas detection and related industry experience, most recently as territory sales manager with Tyco Gas & Flame Detection responsible for industrial safety portable & fixed gas detection product ranges into the UK, Nordic and Eastern Europe regions.

In his new role, Roberts will focus on developing Bacharach’s key food retail, industrial and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning accounts, growing Bacharach’s combustion and emissions analysis and refrigerant leak detection portable instrumentation position and supporting Bacharach’s channel partner’s market development.
