CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Three workers at a DuPont plant in West Virginia became ill Monday afternoon after being exposed to chemical fumes, WSAZ.com reported.

A DuPont spokesperson said the workers suffered respiratory problems after doing maintenance work in an area of the plant that’s shut down for scheduled maintenance.

As of Tuesday, two of the three workers remained in the hospital.
