B&P Littleford supplies 300-gallon mixing system for Taiwan defense plant
The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) has completed a 300-gallon mixing machine facility and plant capacity expansion project in cooperation with B&P Littleford, strengthening Taiwan–United States defense manufacturing capacity.
The project, completed after three years and ten months, includes the commissioning of advanced US-developed mixing equipment designed to support critical defense production processes. According to the NCSIST, obtaining US export approval for the 300-gallon mixing machine after a 43-year hiatus reflects renewed support for allied industrial cooperation.
Representatives from US offices in Taiwan and B&P Littleford were invited to attend the commissioning ceremony, marking the formal launch of the expanded production capability.
The new mixing system is intended to address growing demand for defense systems and ensure a stable supply of critical materials and processes. By introducing mature equipment with a proven operational track record, the institute aims to enhance manufacturing stability, safety standards, and quality control across key production lines.
The equipment, widely used in related industries across multiple countries, has been integrated with domestic engineering expertise to improve overall manufacturing efficiency. The expanded facility complements existing operations, increasing production flexibility and supporting both mass production and research and development activities.
According to the NCSIST, strengthening cooperation with US partners such as B&P Littleford supports broader objectives related to defense resilience, supply chain security, and the development of autonomous operational capabilities in critical manufacturing processes.
