March 31, 2026 (MT release) — METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection Group will exhibit a range of inspection technologies at Interphex, being held April 21-23, 2026, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. Located in booth 2361, the company will feature x-ray, metal detection, vision inspection and checkweighing systems designed to help pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers protect patient safety, verify package and label integrity and meet regulatory requirements.

“In pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality failures can have big repercussions – they don't just stay on the factory floor. That's what makes product inspection one of the most consequential steps on the packaging line,” said Tom Koshy, Sales Director at METTLER TOLEDO Product Inspection. “As facilities face more complex formulations, frequent changeovers and tighter staffing, maintaining consistent performance gets harder. The equipment we're showing at Interphex is designed to reduce reliance on individual operators while delivering the sensitivity and data integrity that today's regulators expect.”

At the show, METTLER TOLEDO will feature its X32 x-ray inspection system for small- to medium-sized packaged pharmaceuticals. The X32 detects physical contaminants such as glass while performing a variety of product integrity checks. Next-generation HiGain+ detector technology offers the most advanced contaminant detection of any single-energy machine in the METTLER TOLEDO portfolio to date. An intuitive user interface and easy front-opening design give operators full access to the inspection chamber, making cleaning and maintenance quick and straightforward. Available in both single- and multi-lane configurations, the X32 is fully customizable to accommodate a variety of production needs.

Also on display will be the M31 pharmaceutical metal detector mounted on the SL1000 conveyor, a cost-effective solution for detecting all types of metal contamination including difficult-to-detect stainless steel. Ideal for small- and medium-sized packages products, the M31 features METTLER TOLEDO's SENSE™ software, which delivers high detection sensitivity with fewer false rejects. The SL1000 conveyor provides smooth, dependable product transport with flexible speed and size options, allowing the system to fit into existing production lines with minimal modifications.

For label inspection, METTLER TOLEDO will showcase its V32 vision inspection system, designed exclusively to inspect labels immediately after printing. Combining a thermal transfer printer with an integrated camera, the V32 comes pre-configured to detect common label defects before labels reach packaging. The system inspects graphics integrity, reads and verifies 1D and 2D codes and checks alphanumeric characters using OCV/OCR tools. By catching labeling issues at this stage, the V32 helps manufacturers avoid costly recalls and rework.

The Starweigh checkweigher delivers laboratory precision for small, narrow and unstable pharmaceutical products. The system is available with a choice of FlashCell load cells, highly accurate temperature-compensated EMFR load cells or robust and cost-effective strain-gauge load cells. Its compact design allows easy installation into existing production lines, while customizable starwheels ensure smooth and stable handling of packages with challenging shapes.

All inspection systems on exhibit are equipped with METTLER TOLEDO’s ProdX™ data management software. By enabling users to remotely monitor equipment and easily collect, save, search and share inspection data, ProdX helps streamline documentation and maintain regulatory standards while providing insights into line performance.
