LX 300 steam boiler delivers up to 300 boiler horsepower with rapid startup
The LX 300 steam boiler from Miura America is a high-capacity modular steam solution designed to help industrial manufacturers meet demanding production requirements while improving energy efficiency, operational flexibility, and environmental performance.
The LX 300 is part of the company's LX 250/300 platform and delivers 250 to 300 boiler horsepower with steam output ranging from 8,630 to 10,350 pounds per hour. The boiler is available in standard-pressure configurations from 70 to 150 pounds per square inch and high-pressure configurations from 170 to 270 pounds per square inch, allowing facilities to match steam generation to specific process requirements.
According to Miura America, the LX 250/300 platform achieves efficiency ratings of 87% in standard-pressure applications and 86% in high-pressure applications. The boiler can operate on either natural gas or propane and is designed to produce nitrogen oxide emissions as low as 5 parts per million in standard-pressure configurations and 12 parts per million in high-pressure configurations.
The LX 300 produces steam in less than five minutes from a cold start, enabling on-demand operation that reduces the need to maintain steam during idle periods. Its compact footprint also allows manufacturers to increase steam capacity within existing boiler rooms, while compatibility with Miura's Multiple Installation system enables facilities to add multiple units for scalable capacity and built-in redundancy.
The boiler incorporates Miura's once-through watertube design and an integrated economizer that preheats incoming feedwater by recovering heat from the system. According to the company, these design features help reduce fuel consumption, improve system efficiency, support uptime, and provide a more efficient steam solution for industrial facilities.
